People 1st Program

PIP have commenced a training course with all our classes.
It covers areas such as protective behaviours relationships and social skills.

Graduation Ceremony

The 2008 graduation ceremony was followed by lunch held at the Rosehill Country Club.
A Movie Maker presentation of each graduating student's experience at CJ's brought the house down with laughter, tears and reflection.
Congratulations to Kirsty Corrigan-Wilson for winning the Citizenship Award donated by Stephen Smith (Federal Member) and to Tim Coller for winning the Ambassador Award.
Congratulations to all our graduates they are a credit to themselves and their families.

School Based Traineeship

Congratulations to Timothy Coller for completing a Schoolbased Traineeship at Cut Price Imports in Welshpool.Tim has gained a Cert II in Transport & Distribution (Warehouse & Storage ) and has secured fulltime paid employment at Cut Price Imports.
Congratulations to Naeim Gabier for securing a Schoolbased Traineeship (Certificate II Retail Operations) at Lenards Morley.

Employers Breakfast

Every year Cyril Jackson ESC host an Employers' Breakfast to thank all our Work Experience employers for their dedication and committment towards our Workplace Learning program.
This year it was held at the State Tennis Centre with 35 people in attendance. All employers were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Glen and Bret who are the vital link between employer and student.
Gail Bleakley from EMS did a presentation and speech confirming the importance of the program and praising the students efforts.
As well as being a great success it provided the opportunity for employers to socialise in a relaxed environment.

Congratulations to Stephen Anderson who won the Swan VET in School Student Award in the Education Support category.
Stephen was also runner-up in state VET in School Award.

Student Achievement

Dayna Langston is the first student at Cyril Jackson Support Centre to secure an Apprenticeship when she graduates at the end of the year. Her committment and dedication towards her School Based Traineeship in Hospitality has been rewarded. Dayna's dream was to become a chef and that dream has know come true.
